Hey again! It's nice to be back with another quick life update for you all, since my last one was about 2 months ago. Due to being in the school musical, the only free time I had was spent doing homework. As much as I loved and enjoyed the musical, I am excited to be back with you all.
My week:
This week started with my dad's birthday and recovering from the crazy musical show week/weekend. I used Sunday, per usual, to get things organized and ready for the week. We didn't do much for my dad's birthday because we planned on doing something next weekend when my brother got back from college. The rest of the week was spent catching up on various things such as doctor appointments, fixing my phone (which ended up being free, thanks Apple!), working out, and school club meetings.
As far as highlights, I have 2 that come to mind aside from all these routinely boring things! I went to my local city council meeting on Tuesday to learn about some of the citizens' opinions over an NDO, which is in consideration for being passed. It was very interesting, and in fact, the meeting made me passionate enough to want to write an email to the council regarding it! The other highlight was finding out that I could travel with my boyfriend's parents this weekend to go visit him at college and watch his football team. That was definitely something I got to look forward to all week!
Weekly challenge for you:
Write a thank you note to someone.
With Thanksgiving coming Thursday, it is certainly a timely activity that will make someone's week!
Bible Verse:
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17
What to get DONE:
Spend time with people you love.
This Thanksgiving week is a time of family or friends, so use it to connect with those people who you fill you up and whom you enjoy. While you're at it, tell them thanks for being in your life and for what they do! Even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, you can still utilize this week just the same.
What to AVOID:
Being too busy.
The Christmas holiday season is about to get in full gear after this week. This is important time to use to wind down, reflect, and recenter yourself, especially since the end of 2019 is only a month away.
Quote:
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
Melody Beattie
Thanks for reading, and if you celebrate it, enjoy your Thanksgiving!
