If you don't have your phone out now, go get it! Or if you don't have your App Store open, open it! Can't you tell I am excited?
I am sure you will find at least one app that you didn't know you needed on this list. Check the categories you are interested in and let me know if you have any questions about these apps!
Fitness/Health:
My Fitness Pal
Here you can choose a plan for yourself on your calorie, carb, protein, sugar, fats, etc based on if you want to maintain, lose, or gain weight. They have a library of tons of foods with specific quantities that you enter each time you eat, and it lets you know how many more in nutrients (carbs, calories, and such) you have left for the day. It links to your fitness watches and apps as well to account for workouts! I definitely recommend not abusing this app as it can become obsessive. Reminder, you all are perfect as you are. I use it on occasion just to have a general idea on what I am eating!
Map My Run
Track walks, runs, bike rides, and more! It links to several other fitness apps and watches to account for steps and calories. I find it to be very easy to use and very accurate. They also have lots of fitness challenges and a community to keep you motivated.
Photos:
FreePrints
From your phone you select the photos you would like printed professionally and sent to your door! If you get regular finishing, you only have to pay $10 for shipping, with a certain amount of photos you can each month. They have different crops and finishes but those cost extra. It is a cheap way to get quality printed photos.
Phonto
Need to put text on pictures or plain background? Phonto is an easy to use app, with great style options (fonts, colors, symbols). It is a free and simple must have.
Relaxation:
White Noise
I love this app for relaxation and sleeping. They have a collection of calm sounds like rain and wind. You can combine sounds they have or use individual ones. I find this useful on weekends to drown out my family (whom I love dearly of course) while I sleep in late!
Breathe
If you want to be less stressed or truly just need to breathe, this is an amazing app. It has all types of sessions, long or short, that can help with stress, to focus, to sleep, to forgiveness. This is a mental health must, as it is linked to you health app (for IPhones) as "mindful minutes." It tracks your progress and has a personal quiz each day about your moods to see what mindfulness technique you should do for the day. IT IS A MUST. Are you convinced yet?
Religion:
Bible
Love love love this. You get verses of the day, access to the bible (any version you choose, I like NIV), and tons of free devotional plans over many topics. It is an amazing christian resource that will even give reminders to your phone about the daily verse. It is such an easy way to stay connected to your faith throughout the day.
Word Processing:
Google Docs
Google Docs can be accessed anywhere, as long as you can login to Google. It is very easy to use and is compatible with all other Google apps like Google Drive. In desktop Google Docs you can download documents for offline (without wifi), so you can edit things from your phone on the app or computer which makes it even better! Also, you can use the talk to text from your phone which is good for things you don't want to type. I recommend this because of the convenience.
Book Addicts:
Goodreads
For book lovers Goodreads is a good app. It can also be accessed through computers too on browsers. Here you can rate books, review them, add them to different shelves like "want to read", "currently reading", or "have read." There are also groups you can join to talk about books and role play if that's your thing. A lot of people share their writing here too. Goodreads will also give you recommendations on books to read based off the books in your shelves! It is super fun for book addicts.
Mobile Shopping:
Your favorite stores apps
Stores apps, for example Forever 21 or American Eagle, can give you special deals, sales only on the app, and coupon codes. You can also put things on hold through the app at your local store, get alerted on new or restocked items. Get these for sure to save money and keep up with the latest trends.
Quik Trip
If you have Quik Trips near you, the app is a necessity! It is already cheap (and amazing) but you can save even more money and get deals like "get a free doughnut if you buy a soft drink." You can also order things for pickup from the kitchen, save money on gas, and other awesome things.
Music:
Spotify
I love Apple Music, but I love Spotify too. Although you can't play music at the same time as someone else on your account, their playlists are killer, they have new and upcoming artists, and on the computer, even if you don't have a paid plan, you can play whatever songs you want.
Now go download these to save money, time, and energy! I am sure you'll love them. Let me know what you think!
